Life and death. Good and evil. I did not expect this show to get so deep and real. I did not expect Preacher’s finale to be as good as it was, but it was filled with so many heart stopping moments, I had to come talk about it for a second. My heart is still pounding and the taste of tears is still in the back of my throat. Jesus effing Christ on a cross, I was not prepared for that in the best way.

Cassidy....just Cassidy. He took a journey that was, again, not what I was expecting. Definitely my favorite part of the episode. One fight scene was hilarious poetry in motion, the other was gut wrenching. So many times I found myself clutching my hands in front of my face and at one cliffhanger moment, I swear it felt like my heart stopped. When did I get so invested in these characters?!

Also, I am very interested in what’s going on in Hell and hope they follow through with that next season. Okay, I need to go calm down before work, sheesh.

BTW, I have been catching up your all’s posts, but no, not leaving many comments yet. I suck, I know :-/ But I’m just happy to be getting back in the swing of things. Have a good day, everyone!

Oh, and I didn't lose power last night, though many people did and there are trees down all over Charlotte :-/ I thank Murphy's Law - I over prepared, so of course nothing happened, lol.

Voltron - still haven't rewatched the first seasons, but that's top of my list.
AHS Cult - it's probably going to traumatize me, but after a few years away, I'm planning to give this new season of American Horror Story a chance.
Defenders - I recently admitted to myself that for the most part, I don't like the Netflix section of the MCU. I never finished watching season 2 of DD, Luke Cage, or Iron Fist. But I will watch the Defenders so at least to have an opinion to share with Marvel Friend, LJ'ers and people at conventions.
Agents of Shield - oh yeah, very excited and planning to review it. Fingers crossed that I have the time.
Inhumans - I had hopes, but have heard very bad things about the movie. But I'll still watch it in case it crosses with AOS.
Once Upon a Time - I am not planning to watch. The trailer I've seen was...not to my liking. And no, I still haven't watched the finale, and may not. Because I'm like that sometimes.
Lucifer - planning to watch for sure.
Orville - this is the new show I'm most excited about. It looks like so much fun, and has an actress from Eureka and Bobby from AOS.
Star Trek Discovery - No. I'm fine with watching real Star Trek on Amazon, thank you. (And now I have Orville.)
Rebels - I'm as nervous as I am excited. People are going to die and it's going to break my heart. If I can, I will definitely review.

No, its not you, I've been absent again. Last week was stressful at work, as usual, so I've been buried in fandom. But things are better for the moment :fingers crossed:.

Besides work sucking my soul and arm muscles away, I had a mass electronics failure last week, thankfully not Photobucket related. My sonic toothbrush quit, my tablet, my car radio, and I dropped my phone, giving it a second crack.

I got a new phone last night, an IPhone, and am very happy. it was also with minimal fuss because Best Buy. And since I could stop service to the tablet, which I don't really really need if I have an IPhone, there's almost no change in my monthly bill. Also, glad to finally be getting away from Samsung products. I plan to buy an Amazon tablet, which is so much cheaper and all I need.

I was able to get all my photos off photobucket. I supposed it's cause I haven't shared anything from there to LJ in over a year. I've been using Dropbox, and now dreamwidth's cloud.

I intended to wait until I'd had a couple of glasses of wine before watching the Who finale, but the suspense is killing me, so I'm going to go have my heart broke and my blood pressure go through the roof. No, I haven't caught spoilers. I don't need to. I know Moffat, and he SUCKS. And with two women in the finale, he's got twice as much opportunity to piss me off twice as bad. The only real question, is whether someone else will make one final rude comment to Bill about her sexuality before she gets killed off in a meaningless way.

Okay, this day started off on the wrong foot, I'll admit that. Work was stressful. But that doesn't mean I'm wrong about Moffat. Anyway, here goes....May the Force be with me....

Oh my, lol, not exactly the same after all... Well, I can't figure out how to post the banner from the DW scrapbook, and the 'sticky post' is in the wrong place, but dangit, the discussion posts are up, and that's good for me for now.

Clan Terror is now on Dreamwidth, yay!

Quick heads up for those interested - TV Line polls are still open for voting and commenting to keep these show from being cancelled:
OUAT, AOS, New Girl, Timeless, Elementary, Sleepy Hollow, and Quantico.

I don't know if it does any good, but it made me feel better to at least try

Taxes are done!! Hurrah!! And they weren't so bad that I had a meltdown of panic, catastrophic thinking, and self-hate. Woohoo! Also, I owe a bit less than last year. [And yeah, I had the appt today, changed from Friday.]

Then I worked and am ridiculously tired, but I'm just so happy to have this ginourmous monkey off my back.

Right now I'm watching Marvel Friend's latest show I have to watch or he will hound me endlessly about it - Powerless. DC verse on NBC and Hulu. I like everything about it so far, except the main character looks, dresses, and acts so much like modern Clara from Doctor Who that it's distracting. But it's a half hour comedy, so I doubt it's going to upset me, like I'm afraid Legion will (I'm deathly scared of winding up in a mental hospital).

I may not have mentioned this, but the last few years, I've had to become very careful of what I watch, due to my PTSD. Which is why it takes me so long to look at something new.

Okay back to more blindingly good news -

Voltaire is coming to Charlotte in June for Con Carolina!!

OMFG I am so excited, I am actually getting a hotel room this year. Especially since I didn't even go last year. (And I ended up not going to Stevie Nicks last fall, so it is past time for some live goth partying!) I havent seen him live in almost ten years, that last time I went to Dragon Con, and I am just so happy I can't stand it.

Okay, I think that's it, I feel like I"m forgetting something, but I'll be back soon, heehee. I'm going to have lunch with MF tomorrow before work, and then...I have no plans beyond work and LJ for... :huge sigh: I'm gonna be keeping up with you all better, and writing more, and being a better comm mod, and finding a shrink, and finishing Tipping the Velvet, and I am just so relieved. :fingers crossed I don't get another horrible virus, or anything else unexpected, at least for a month, please:

I love you all! Hope everyone's week got off to a good start :-)

Hey all! Extremely random babble ahead... (Personal update - Doing comm/LJ stuff. Worked a double today. Tired but in a good mood.)

OUAT - I've got season 4.5 going as my background tonight, and I had forgotten that they had Poisedon be Ursula's dad. Which makes me realize, he could have been brought back to help them against Hades. Granted, there was a lot going on in that season, but still - missed opportunity that would add some nice inter-seasonal continuity (not that that seems to be a large concern, snerk). Especially, as it's Hook in immediate danger from Hades, and Hook that Ursula and Poisedon owe big time for reconciling them.

AO3 - I just discovered that AO3 has stats. My top fic fandoms by hits and kudos are Star Wars and OUAT. My Rebels fic is still way in the lead for kudos....so maybe I need to work some more on that series, lol.

Twilight - I haven't read or watched them. I did try to read the first and fifth book, but couldn't get through the first chapters. I can't stand her narration voice. But on my day off I watched all the "Everything Wrong With" videos on Youtube....and now I kinda wanna watch the movies. HORROR!!! But, damn, I didn't know the scenery was so beautiful...and there were so many shirtless young brownish men....ahem. Edward is even more awful looking than in the promos, though, ugh. His head looks like it's been squished, and white face looked bad on Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, so....yeah, no.

I also watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes yesterday. I liked it a lot! A whole lot! I can't wait for the next one to come out. I used to adore the old ones, especially Cornelius and Zira. I watched this one because I saw that the apes use sign language (research for my original fic). That culture they are forming in the movie is wonderful, and I wish we could have a movie just with the apes.

Still haven't seen Beauty and the Beast. For some reason, Amazon isn't giving me access to American Gods, that should have aired on the 30th. I already miss Rebels.

Oh and....
Joss Whedon is doing a Bat Girl Movie!
Everybody freak out!!!!

I hardly ever do one of these kinds of posts here, so here's me trying something new :-)

During my recent funk, I was using the brilliant and funny meta-analysis sitcom The Grinder for my self-soothing material. Then it left Hulu!  So I bought the whole season from Amazon for the sadly low price of 15 bucks :-/ Poor Rob Lowe. (Fuck you FOX, I was still upset over Dollhouse.) The Grinder still doesn't get to Netflix until tomorrow, so I was right, I wouldn't have made it. I highly recc this wrongly cancelled show. Rob Lowe's character is a cross between Zoolander and Abed from Community - so fantastic. And Fred Savage's comedic timing is understatedly great.

I've been over at Amazon more than usual, as they are getting some fantastic things on Prime. All of Star Trek is there now, woohoo! I also still have STARZ (from where they were showing all the MCU movies.) Now they've got The Force Awakens, so clearly can't give that up.
