If you're looking to make a new friend, hi! This is my personal life and writing journal. My media passions are The Rachel Maddow Show, the MCU, A Song of Ice and Fire, Star Wars, Once Upon a Time, Star Trek (old school), Doctor Who (not Moffat), and as always...

The Whedon Verse. Though I was mostly into Buffy, I watched Angel faithfully, then read the comics for awhile. I also have all of the Astonishing X-Men in book form. I loved Dollhouse, and Agents of Shield is my refuge in the MCU. But, and please don't throw things, I never got into Firefly. I plan to watch it eventually.

I am a life-long fan of sci-fi/fantasy TV shows, movies, and a few comics, as you may be able to tell from my ridiculously long list of interests. I have been an avid reader of fan fiction, slash in particular, since the nineties. Personally, I have written a lot of Heroes fic and a little Doctor Who. My big on-going project is working on a science fantasy book series/universe.

Besides, writing, I also like to read a lot, both fiction and non-fiction, and write about that, so expect some book reviews, and lively, opinionated rants in here.

I've just come back to LJ after a three year hiatus, that had a lot of reasons behind it. You'll see me talking about mental health and personal identity issues a lot.

Please feel free to friend me if we have things in common, or you want to keep up with my writing. The best way to win my heart is to comment on something. I do post a lot of real life in here, and other things I think that writers, LGBTQAI, political progressives, and fan geeks might be interested in. My memories contain numerous fic recommendations in various pairings and a section on writing. Tags are the best way to find my fics, political posts, videos, etc.; but "heroes", "fan fiction", and "doctor who" will probably get you where you most want to go.
